The most satisfying part of completing a Brisbane bathroom renovation is seeing the client’s vision come to fruition. There’s no other feeling quite like it, and in the past six months, we have had the privilege of working on some truly special projects. Today, we’re going to share with you six of our favourite bathroom renovations that we have recently completed around Brisbane.
At Flat Hill, we specialise in renovating bathrooms to be stylish, comfortable and sophisticated. It was a pleasure working with these six clients to create the bathrooms of their dreams.
Bracken Ridge Bathroom Renovation
While we had earlier completed renovating the downstairs bathroom for this lovely client in Bracken Ridge, it was time to move upstairs and begin work on the main bathroom. This project involved us removing the only window and including a Velux sky light instead so that the room is better washed in natural light. We also tinkered with the layout which involved us installing a toilet with its cistern built into the wall.
Some of the other beautiful features that were part of this bathroom renovation included us wrapping the entire bathroom in stunning double herringbone feature tiles to give it a sleek, sophisticated look. That look was accentuated even further by the installation of LED strip lighting in the shower niche and shaving cabinet. Truly a memorable Brisbane bathroom renovation project.
Bray Park Bathroom Renovation
This Brisbane bathroom renovation saw our team installing brushed nickel tapware and features to give the space a sophisticated feel. The project also included an LED feature mirror as well as an LED strip in the niche above the new built-in bathtub.
We also had the pleasure of including a sleek 3-in-1 heat, light and exhaust fan. That’s not to mention the beautiful white tiles that were placed on the walls of the bathroom. They lend the room a sense of calm and relaxation thanks to their subtle texture. In fact, you can read about all the bathroom tiles and trends in 2021 in this article.
Bulimba Bathroom Renovation
Our client wanted their powder room and ensuite to feel natural and spacious. While the layouts remained as they originally were, we modernised everything with new strip LED lighting underneath the cabinets, stunning brushstroke copper tapware courtesy of ABI Interiors, and subway brick bond tiling in both rooms. Of course, none of these projects would have been possible without the support we receive from our partners. You read about the importance of collaboration in bathroom renovations in this article.
We also installed a classy new shaving cabinet and custom timberline vanity in the ensuite. However, the most striking addition to this project was the jungle-themed wallpaper that wraps around the powder room. A one of a kind renovation that we had so much fun working on!
Lawnton Bathroom Renovation
This friendly Lawnton client asked us specifically to renovate their main bathroom so that it could be mobility-friendly in the future. We achieved this by lowering the shower floor to allow for seamless, accessible entry without the need to step over any rises.
We also gave the room some classical personality by installing brushed nickel tapware and hanging pendant lights. The new Timberline vanity was topped with a stunning black feature basin and matched with a bold circular shaving cabinet. We really enjoyed working on this particular bathroom renovation.
The Gap Bathroom Renovation
This ensuite renovation project in The Gap saw our team dropping the floor in the shower and encasing the ground with encaustic tiles to create a seamless, open look and feel to the entire room. The client also expressed their personality with a pair of polished antique nickel pineapple wall sconces hanging either side of the LED feature round mirror.
We can’t help but love the encased hanging ceiling light which always draws the eye whenever walking into the room. To finish up, we also installed a wall hung Navy Timberline Vanity and a heated towel rack.
Two Gums Bathroom Renovation
We had a lot of fun working on this rural bathroom and powder room renovation. We were instructed with designing a functional yet stylish bathroom for two teenage girls. This meant that we widened the vanity component and included two basins so that the girls could get ready in the bathroom at the same time.
But the greatest new feature of this renovation was widening the skylight in the ceiling to wash the entire room in gorgeous natural light. Prior to our work, the bathroom was often dimly lit as it was in the middle of the house. You can find out more about this particular project as well as others on our portfolio page.
